Volunteers Needed for the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage on June 10

Please consider volunteering to help on this very special day for our parish when the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage stops here with Jesus. We have several opportunities. to help from greeting our guests at either the church or the school auditorium or to help guests make crafts in the auditorium with the various service projects.

Greeters will welcome guests as they come to pray at St. John the Evangelist. We have several opportunities to greet at both the church and at the entrance to the school auditorium where the service projects will be underway. Greeters will help to direct visitors to prayer teams, confessions, service projects, answer general questions as well as handing out maps, schedules, and other information.

Service project helpers will help guests make crafts for outreach programs that include Giving Back Linda’s Legacy, St. Vincent de Paul and St. John’s Homebound and Hospital Ministry. Crafts will include writing and decorating Christmas cards for the homeless, cross-stitch plastic “Sacred Heart,” and Ranger Rosaries.

Adult volunteers must be VIRTUS compliant. Youth ages 14-17 must have Worthy of the Call.

If you have any questions concerning greeting, please contact Debbie Rickert at drickert@stjohnsp.org or for questions related to the service project helpers, please contact Kathy Kirby at mrskirby1966@gmail.com.
