Mental Health Awareness Ministry

You Are Not Alone

“Whoever suffers from mental illness always bears God’s image and likeness” in themselves. - Pope Saint John Paul II

You have come to the right place!  St. John the Evangelist offers a safe atmosphere, where you can feel accepted, respected and valued. The St. Dymphna Prayer Group is for those with a mental illness and their loved ones.

Join us for prayer, lunch and fellowship, Saturday, Nov. 2, 11a.m. in the Parish Office Great Room, and Saturday, March 8, 2025, 11a.m., in the Gathering Space Meeting Room. We kindly ask that you RSVP to sjemhaevent@gmail.com so that we can accurately prepare.

If you need to confidentially speak to a counselor at anytime, please contact pastoralcounseling@stjohnsp.org.

COMING SOON!

From Sept. 2025 to May 2026, we look forward to sharing videos, having speakers, and discussing Saint Dymphna’s Playbook with you. We hope to lessen the stigma by bringing awareness of mental health issues to the public. See the bulletin for more details when the time comes.
