Permanent Deaconate Information Session
The Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking faithful Catholic men who feel called to serve the Church as permanent deacons. Deacons are ordained ministers who proclaim the Gospel, assist at the altar, and serve those in need through acts of charity and pastoral care.
Adoration, Praise & Worship
Come sing praises to our Lord for his goodness as we spend time away from our hectic schedules to be with Him in the Eucharist and reflect on, “Do I have the faith the size of a mustard seed?”

Thanksgiving Day Eucharist Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration will begin following the Thanksgiving Day daily Mass at 9a.m. and continue through Saturday, Nov. 29 at 8a.m. “Come to Me…and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.

December Wedding Anniversary Blessing
Couples married this month are invited to receive a special anniversary blessing during Daily Mass at 8:30a.m. followed by a reception sponsored by our Joy in the Spirit ministry group.
Live Nativity!
Prepare for Christmas through the sights and sounds of the Holy Family in Bethlehem, surrounded by all of their visitors that sacred night, including live animals! Walk the pilgrimage around Larsen Field through beautiful images of the 1,700-year-old Nicene Creed (what we believe about God). This is an amazing family event!

Feast Day Celebration of St. John the Evangelist
Please join us to celebrate the Feast of St. John the Evangelist following the Vigil Mass on Saturday, Dec. 27. There is a great tradition of blessing wine on the feast of St. John, as well as enjoying a special mulled wine known as the “Love of St. John.”
Feast of the Holy Innocents
Please join us as we remember all the children lost through illness, accident, miscarriage, abortion, or any reason. We remember, too, all the little martyred boys killed by King Herod in search of Baby Jesus.

Festival of Lessons & Carols
Listen to nine scripture lessons which recount the fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News. Each lesson is followed by a carol that reflects on the lesson’s message.
Ignatius Book Fair
Parents, get a jump on your holiday shopping at our Ignatius Book Fair, Sunday, Nov. 9, 10a.m. — 1p.m. in the Parish Activities Center. Ignatius Book Fairs offer a Christian alternative that is unparalleled to any known book fair, teaching lessons of faith, hope and charity to children. Books, crafts and activities are available from early childhood through 13 years of age. Choose from classics like Little Women and The Lord of the Rings, new additions on the lives of the saints like Carlo Acutis, and STEM favorites on robotics and more!

Join us as we contemplate how struggles in our family life drain our martial intimacy and find ways we can turn to Our Lord for help and guidance. Learn how to view our own families and blessings and how to find ways to reconnect within your own relationship. Join other likeminded-couples for an evening of music, praise and worship centered around healing and renewed hope in our marriages.
St. Dymphna Prayer Group
Pray with the Mental Health Awareness team in the Parish Office Great Room for those impacted by mental health challenges, including caregivers, family and friends, followed by a guest speaker on Depression before lunch, which is provided by the MHA team.
Flower Box Clean Up
Please join us for the fall cleanup of the flower boxes St. John the Evangelist parishioners tend on the B&A trail. We will meet behind the Big Bean on the trail on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 10:30a.m.

The St. Monica Ministry is a new prayer group devoted to prayer and community offering members hope and support for their family members who have fallen away from the Catholic Church. Focus will be on prayers to our Blessed Mother and St. Monica, who prayed 17 years for the conversion of her son, St. Augustine, to Christianity.

All Souls Remembrance Novena
November is the month of All Souls, a special time of prayer in the Church for all those who have gone before us in death. The most fruitful way we pray for those who have died is through the offering of the Sacrifice of the Mass as we commend our loved ones to the great love and mercy of Jesus and the sacrifice He offered to save us.

Life is Beautiful Mass
You are invited to a special Life is Beautiful Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Baltimore. The Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop William E. Lori. During the celebration, St. John the Evangelist parishioner and volunteer, Judith Crowninshield, will be honored with the Culture of Life Medal.
