Couples married in the month of December are invited to receive a special anniversary blessing during the Daily Mass at 8:30a.m. followed by a reception sponsored by our Joy in the Spirit ministry group.

Because the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, a Holy Day of Obligation, falls on a Sunday, the Holy Day Obligation moves to Monday, Dec. 9.

Marriage Enrichment Series
“Lord Teach us How to Pray – How to Pray as a Married Couple” Couples of St. John, join us as we start this year’s Marriage Enrichment Series and learn effective ways to pray as a married couple. Engaged and dating couples encouraged to attend. The event is free, and childcare will be provided.

A very special Children’s Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 3:30p.m. at Severna Park High School in the Auditorium.
Feast Day Mass of St. John the Evangelist
Please join us to celebrate the Feast of St. John the Evangelist with a special Mass at 7p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27. There is a great tradition of blessing wine on the feast of St. John, as well as enjoying a special mulled wine known as the “Love of St. John.”
Feast of the Holy Innocents Mass
Please join us as we remember all the children lost through illness, accident, miscarriage, abortion, or any reason. We remember, too, all the little martyred boys killed by King Herod in search of Baby Jesus.

Festival of Lessons & Carols
Listen to nine scripture lessons which recount the fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News. Each lesson is followed by a carol that reflects on the lesson’s message.

Knights of Columbus Farewell Dinner Dance
Please join Knights of Columbus Holy Trinity Council, for our Farewell Dinner Dance on Nov. 9 at the Columbian Center, 335 Ritchie Hwy. from 6—11p.m. The Columbian Center has been sold, and this will be our last social event before the new owners take possession.
Maryland Catholic Women's Conference
Join women from across the state to deepen your faith by engaging in opportunities for confession, adoration, and Mass, as well as listen to dynamic Catholic speakers and enjoy fellowship. Tickets include breakfast, lunch, snacks, and swag bags.
Praying with Authority: Parent Workshop
Parents with children of all ages and mentors for youth, join us on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7p.m. in the Parish Activities Center as we hear from the Maryland Catholic Women's Conference keynote speaker, Melissa Foley, on Praying with Authority Over Your Children.

Election Day Eucharistic Adoration
Join us in the Oratory for Eucharistic Adoration as we pray for God’s unity and peace in our nation, and for the protection of our most vulnerable brothers and sisters.
All Souls Remembrance Mass
Join us on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 5:15p.m. for our annual All Souls Remembrance Mass. We will read a litany of names of departed loved ones with candle lighting.
St. Dymphna Prayer Group
The Mental Health Awareness Ministry invites you and your loved ones who live with the challenge of a mental illness, and caregivers to a St. Dymphna Prayer Group in the Parish Office Great Room. A light lunch will follow.

All youth 14—17-years-old who would like to volunteer must participate in “Worthy of the Call.” This is the child protection program for youth required by the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and is required for 2024—25 Confirmation candidates. Attend one of the four sessions scheduled this fall.
Baby Diaper & Maternity Clothes Drive
To help moms and babies, the Respect Life Ministry will be collecting baby diapers any size, but particularly newborn and sizes 4—5, and maternity clothes (any size, new or gently used) on Sunday, Oct. 20.
