Dear Brothers and Sisters,
In the month of November, the Church encourages us to remember and pray for the dead.
In addition to this evening's special 7p.m. All Souls Day Mass and our nine-day All Souls Novena of Masses, I would like to invite you to join me at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville this Sunday, Nov. 8 from 3 - 3:30p.m. as we pray for all of the dead buried there.
Over the years, our priests, deacons, and seminarians have accompanied parishioners to the cemetery for the burial of loved ones whose bodies now await the Lord's return and the resurrection of the dead.
The Church encourages the faithful to visit and pray at cemeteries during November. And so I invite you to join me as we offer brief prayers this Sunday in Crownsville.
Please see the cemetery map below for where you may park and join in the prayers we will offer.
*Please note that this prayer is not officially sponsored by the cemetery. We are simply gathering during the cemetery's open public visiting hours to pray for all of the dead.
Please join us for this solemn commemoration of the departed whose bodies lie in rest at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Erik
