SVDP Needs Our Help

URGENT NEED:

Our St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry is in critical need of food for our hungry neighbors. We need EVERYTHING especially canned chicken and tuna, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, Chef Boyardee varieties, chili, beef stew, black, kidney, green and baked beans, pancake mix, syrup, cereal, instant oatmeal, jelly, macaroni and cheese, canned soups, applesauce, fruit, rice, potatoes, paper towels, toilet paper, all hygiene products (soap, body wash, shampoo, deodorant), household cleaning products, laundry products, dishwashing products, adult diapers, baby diapers, and pull-ups. We will also accept fresh or frozen meats if you can bring them directly to the pantry while we’re open and fresh vegetables from your gardens when you have them. Thank you for your generosity.

  • Mondays 5—7p.m. (except holidays)

  • Tuesdays & Fridays 10a.m.—1p.m.

  • Wednesdays 5—7p.m.

Currently, 680,000 Marylanders rely on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits each month, including nearly 270,000 children and 121,615 adults age 62 and older. The loss of food benefits will strain their already limited resources for covering essentials like food, housing, and health care costs. Additionally, lack of access to nutritious food and resulting food insecurity directly leads to poor health.

Last year our St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Center and Pantry assisted 7,691 people. With the current government shutdown, we're seeing more people than usual and many first timers. People who've never reached out for food. This is stressing our resources. We need your help during this crisis! if you can donate to our pantry, please drop your donations at our "Blue Barn" 651 Ritchie Highway on Tuesdays or Fridays between 10a.m. and 1p.m., or Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 - 7p.m. or you can let us buy the food by making a tax-deductible donation.

We are grateful for your help.
