Handmade Wooden Crucifixes, Crosses and Religious Items Now Available

Own a piece of St. John the Evangelist history with these one-of-a-kind, all handcrafted crucifixes, crosses and religious items lovingly made by hand by parishioner woodworkers using the high quality wood of our original church pews. These stunning works of art are now available for purchase, with all proceeds going to our flourishing Youth Ministry.

Fewer than 100 of these magnificent items are available, so don’t miss your chance to own a piece of art! All items blessed by Fr. Erik Arnold.

Crucifixes - from 8” to 24”, these striking crucifixes will stand out in any home and serve as a constant reminder of the love of God, who gave his only son to save us! The high-quality corpuses were procured from around the world, mainly Italy and Germany. One wooden corpus was painted by an artist parishioner! Each crucifix is unique and stained in various shades and sealed for lifelong durability. Some come with a base, while others are ready for hanging. Prices range from $25 - $200.

Crosses - from 4” - 24”, these gorgeous crosses were made exactly like the crucifixes, though minus the corpus, so they are lighter weight. The smallest ones could be carried in a purse or kept in a car to keep its driver safe. Prices range from $15 - $100.

Religious Etchings and Carvings - Beautifully handcrafted and etched plaques and wall art depict scenes from the Bible, including the Last Supper, or share a prayer of our patron, St. John the Evangelist, St. Michael the Archangel, St. Victorian and more. Stained in several shades to fit your personal decor and sealed for lifelong durability. Prices begin at $20.

How to Purchase - All items will be for sale at the Annual Advent Market on Saturday, Nov. 22. Visit the St. John the Evangelist table #8 inside the auditorium. Cash or credit accepted.

Artists include: Jordan Derby, Linda Gosman and Mike Tabellion, who graciously donated their time and talents to this project to support the youth of St. John the Evangelist.
