Lord Teach us How to Pray – Praying with the Holy Spirit
Couples of St. John, join us on Friday, June 13, from 7—9p.m. in the Parish Activities Center as we continue this year’s Marriage Enrichment Series and learn effective ways to pray as a married couple.
The night will include praise and worship in front of the Blessed Sacrament and a short talk by Adam and Holly Novotny about praying with the Holy Spirit.
Adam and Holly have been married for 26 happy years. They have two children, both graduates of Franciscan University of Steubenville. They feel blessed to serve in a variety of ministries together: they serve as liaisons to the Charismatic Renewal for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, they co-direct the Marian Servants of the Redeemer, an apostate focused on Marian virtue, they are both certified spiritual directors trained in Ignatian spirituality, they are advisors for Enkindle Catholic Family ministry, and they have a podcast together. Whew! They are excited to talk about worshipping together as a couple.
Join us as we learn how we can welcome the third person, the Holy Spirit, in our marriages and to learn to pray more deeply with our spouse. The evening will include a time of intimate prayer as we allow Jesus to enter our marriages.
Please bring a photo of you and your spouse on your wedding day that will be placed next to our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.
Engaged and dating couples are encouraged to attend.
Wine and cheese will be served afterwards.
The event is free, and childcare will be provided.
