Praying the Rosary for Families

  • St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD, 21146 United States (map)

St. Padre Pio declared, “The Rosary is the ‘weapon’ for these times.” We fight wars daily—physical, emotional, psychological—but all of them spiritual. For centuries Catholic families have prayed the Rosary, a collection of 59 beads, in exactly the same way. The prayers are powerful, beautiful, and eternally hopeful.

Come join us as we learn to be better parents as Jesus and Mary teach us through the Rosary.

This fall, St. John the Evangelist is offering an eight-week course that teaches the history of the Rosary and how to pray the Rosary. Parents will also learn how to incorporate the Rosary into their daily routine and how to pray this powerful ‘weapon’ with their children so that the family may grow stronger in faith together.

This course is for anyone who wants to dive deeper into the mysteries of the Rosary. There is no prerequisite, so even if you have never prayed the Rosary this course is for you! Join us and incorporate the Rosary into your family’s life.

These 90-minute sessions will be held on Mondays in the Good Shepherd Room from 7 – 8:30p.m., Sept. 26 - Nov. 14.

Discover the Rosary and make praying the Rosary a life-changing component of your family’s daily life.

There is no cost for these sessions, however we ask that you register.

“Participating in the Rosary for Families experience was a highlight of my spring. Bill’s devotion to the rosary shined through as he shared background and history of the Rosary, ways to pray the Rosary and ideas to encourage families to pray together. The prayerful support we shared in the group was an added bonus for me. I loved learning from him and sharing this experience with fellow parishioners.” ~ Julie, Parishioner
