Widows & Widowers Gathering

  • St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD, 21146 United States (map)

Register now for a Gathering of Widows and Widowers, Saturday, June. 24, 11:30a.m. – 1:30p.m., in the Gathering Space Meeting Room. We will have a short “Is Death the End?” discussion and support. Come spend time with others who understand what it’s like to lose a spouse.

Recently widowed? Confused? Crying? Angry? You may be riding a roller coaster of emotions; or you may be numb to everything around you. Whatever you are feeling, thinking and experiencing, please know that God is with you, and He understands it is all part of your personal grief journey. Come share your story with others who have experienced the death of a spouse.

Widowed some time ago? Your life is forever changed. It doesn’t matter how long ago; triggers can bring fresh pain. But, you have gotten through the worst of the grief, and you have made a new life for yourself. Come support the more recently widowed, and share how you have gotten through the bad times and found your way to your new life.

Feel free to bring a small picture or special memento of your loved one.

Bring a bag lunch. Drinks will be provided.

Please register by Tuesday, June 20, so that we can plan for the proper number of attendees.

To register or if you have questions, please contact Rosanna Farley at stjohngriefsup@hotmail.com.

Brought to you by St. John’s Grief Support.
