A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
— John 13:34-35

Each week during Lent, ask our Lord to place someone on your heart to pray for that week and for the opportunity to love them and share Christ with them. Be open to the workings of the Holy Spirit and to whomever he places on your heart even if it is a stranger.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
John 15:16

Find ways to love the person that the Lord placed on your heart through acts of kindness, charity, and compassion. You could invite them to dinner, bake them cookies, put their trash cans away, sweep their walk, give them a hug, or visit them if they are sick…you get the idea.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Share Christ with them by talking to them about Jesus, inviting them to Mass or your men’s, women’s, or youth group, or, most importantly, by your example and friendship. Represent Christ in all that you do and be a witness to your faith. Let the Holy Spirit be your guide.

So we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:20

Pick up “Prayer, Care, & Share” cards at church and place them in spots that will help you to remember your mission. It could be on your bathroom mirror, in your prayer journal, on your car’s visor, in your pocket or backpack, anywhere that will help you to remember. Let’s get on Mission!

Add your prayers here for those our Lord has placed on your heart to pray for or ask for prayers where you struggle to share Christ, and together, we will support each other in our mission to bring others to Christ.

(Out of respect for a person’s privacy, only post, at most, initials and not people’s names for whom you are praying.)
