SMS Privacy Policy - Internal Use

St. John the Evangelist School (“St. John”) respects the privacy of faculty and staff who use our SMS Help Desk service.

Information We Collect

When an authorized faculty or staff member communicates with the St. John Help Desk by text message, we may collect the mobile telephone number used to initiate the conversation, the content of the messages, and information necessary to respond to and resolve the support request.

How We Use SMS Information

SMS information is used solely to provide technical support, respond to Help Desk requests, provide updates concerning those requests, and maintain appropriate support records.

St. John does not use the Help Desk SMS service to send advertising or promotional marketing messages.

Mobile Information Sharing

Mobile information, including mobile telephone numbers and SMS opt-in or consent information, will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Service providers used by St. John to operate the Help Desk and messaging service may process information only as necessary to provide those services on behalf of St. John.

Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies depending on the support request and the communication necessary to resolve it.

Message and data rates may apply according to the user's wireless service plan.

Opting Out

Users may reply STOP to an SMS message at any time to stop receiving SMS messages.

Users may reply HELP for assistance.

Use of SMS is voluntary. Faculty and staff may also contact the Help Desk without consenting to SMS communications.
