Hope is amazing. It gives us the power to keep going, even in the greatest struggles and trials. When hope burns within us, we find strength and purpose to carry on, no matter what we face. The one who has hope lives differently.

But what are the reasons for our hope? What truths do we hold onto that give us strength and purpose in our struggles?

Ten Reasons for Hope is an invitation to enter into and experience ten great truths which are the reasons for our hope in Christ.

Praying into these ten truths offers us a life-changing experience of hope, an experience that gives new life.

In Christ, the divine power of hope can really change our lives. We can live differently because of the gift of hope the Lord pours into our hearts.

What are the ten reasons for hope?

They are ten truths at the heart of the Good News proclaimed by Jesus and his Church:

  1. You are lovable and deeply loved.

  2. You are forgiven. 

  3. God is healing the broken stuff.

  4. You don’t have to be perfect! 

  5. God has a plan for you! 

  6. God will provide!

  7. God made you resilient and strong. 

  8. Struggles are part of it.

  9. The struggles don’t last forever! 

  10. You are not alone. 

How does it work?

Ten Reasons for Hope takes an incarnational approach, attempting to engage us at every level that God made us. In light of that, we will open each of these ten reasons for hope through:

  • A teaching or testimony to open up and bring to life the ten truths/reasons for hope, to free our minds from the lies of the enemy that often keep us trapped in despair and hopelessness.

  • Daily Scriptures to pray with to allow the power of God’s word to be at work within you.

  • Prayer experiences that give the Lord room to work and deliver the supernatural gift of hope to our hearts through direct contact with the Lord through Scripture, prayer, the Eucharist, the Sacraments, etc. 

  • A practical mental health tool to help us take hold of God’s gift of hope and hang on to it amid the daily worries and anxieties of life.

  • A saint whose life relates to one of the Ten Reasons for Hope, who not only inspires but intercedes and prays for us.
