Considering the Call to Serve? Become a Deacon!

The Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking faithful Catholic men who feel called to serve the Church as permanent deacons. Deacons are ordained ministers who proclaim the Gospel, assist at the altar, and serve those in need through acts of charity and pastoral care.

If you are a man between the ages of 35 and 55, active in your parish, and open to discerning this unique vocation, we invite you to learn more about the diaconate formation process.

Information sessions are being held throughout the Archdiocese. For a list of sessions, visit www.archbalt.org/clergy and click on “Deacons.” No registration is required. Attendance at an information session is mandatory prior to receive an application. For more information, please contact Fr. Michael Foppiano at mfoppiano@archbalt.org.
