The Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking faithful Catholic men who feel called to serve the Church as permanent deacons. Deacons are ordained ministers who proclaim the Gospel, assist at the altar, and serve those in need through acts of charity and pastoral care. An informational session will be held at St. John the Evangelist on Nov. 12, and other locations around the archdiocese.

Our Faith Formation team recently sat down with parents to find out how St. John the Evangelist can support their entire family to grow in faith together. An overwhelming response was to offer ways to serve together in the community. The Parish Social Ministry of Catholic Charities of Baltimore has created a list of areas of need. Our St. Vincent de Paul Food Panty will provide Christmas Dinner for at least 75 families this year. In order to do that, they need your help. The need is tremendous this year. Thank you for your generosity.
